Success is a staircase, not an elevator

We often hear about people hitting fame and fortune overnight.

Perhaps after winning a prize on a TV show or a horse winning a million dollar race.

The fact is that the work that has been done before becoming an ‘overnight success’ is rarely reported on.

Those singers on TV have been practicing for years. That horse has done hundreds of hours of trackwork and fitness training.

Meteoric rises are rare and are often be followed by a fall at the same speed.

So don’t always aim for the ‘big win’ to make yourself successful. Keep making progress one day at a time – and maybe one day you will become an ‘overnight success’!
