Are you using ChatGPT for your business and wondering if there are some more tricks out there to get the most out of it? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s dive into some exciting ways to take ChatGPT to the next level!
Setting the Tone with ChatGPT
Did you know you can ask ChatGPT to respond in different tones? It’s like having a conversation with a friend who can mimic various accents and styles. Here’s an example phrase, “Ahoy, matey!” in different tones:
- Formal: “Greetings, my friend.”
- Casual: “Hey there, buddy!”
- Excited: “Yay! Hi there, pal!”
- Talking Like a Pirate: “Arrr, ahoy me hearty!”
Personally with most of the stuff I write I ask ChatGPT to use a friendly and conversational tone. You might like something like friendly and professional for many business topics.
Summarizing Articles with ChatGPT
Got a lengthy article that you need to understand quickly? No worries! Just copy and paste the text into ChatGPT, and ask for a summary. It’s like having your personal assistant who can condense information for you.
This can save you tens of minutes every day – particularly if you are seeking to workout if you want to read a full form article.
Harnessing the Power of Plugins to help you ‘watch’ YouTube
Plugins can add superpowers to ChatGPT. For example, the YT Caption Retriever plugin allows you to generate summaries on the auto-generated captions in a YouTube video. It’s a fantastic tool for understanding video content without watching the entire thing.
A typical prompt is something like “Please summarise the auto-generated captions for this youtube video: https://youtu.be/Wbfb-4U9rrI”
This takes a 6 minutes video and gives you a summary which you can read in less than a minute. You do miss hearing my dulcet voice though!
Mike Loder hosts a segment on Ticker News, interviewing Andy, the founder of HorseRecords. Andy explains how he developed software to record everything about horses, inspired by his wife’s love for horses. The software covers various aspects, including health, training, performance, breeding, and dental care. It’s customizable and caters to different disciplines like Polo, Eventing, dressage, and more. Andy emphasizes the app’s uniqueness in customization, allowing users to add specific care aspects like chiropractic or equine therapy. Horse Records is also involved with retired racehorses in South Australia and Northern Territory. The app offers two free horses, with paid plans starting at $12 AUD for seven horses. Mike appreciates the clever idea and thanks Andy for sharing it.
Arguing and Correcting ChatGPT for Better Results
Believe it or not, having a bit of a friendly argument with ChatGPT can lead to better results.
If the AI doesn’t quite hit the mark with its response, don’t hesitate to correct it or ask for clarification.
ChatGPT learns from your feedback, and engaging in a back-and-forth conversation can help you refine the answer to exactly what you need. It’s like having a brainstorming session with a colleague – sometimes, a little debate leads to the perfect solution!
For example when requesting a recipe you might ask for a recipe including Potato, leek, salt and pepper. If it gives you an ingredient that you don’t have you can say “No – I don’t have any chilli – please try again without the chilli“.
Each time you reply to ChatGPT you are honing your request so that ChatGPT can better reply to you.
Need something translated? ChatGPT can translate text into various languages. Just paste in the text and ask ChatGPT to translate it. Often you don’t even need to tell it what language to translate from!
Just be careful though – I’ve found ChatGPT gives you the gist of a message – but it would not necessarily be a completely accurate translation.
ChatGPT is more than just a text-based AI; it’s a versatile tool that can be tailored to your business needs.
From setting the tone to summarizing content and using plugins, the possibilities are endless.
So go ahead, explore these features, and take your ChatGPT experience to the next level!
